The first Conny Plankton releases of 2022 is based around a series of new recordings made with the rather excellent Arturia Microfreak Hybrid Synth. Sequencer Patterns and Arps abound, laced heavily with treated samples, textures and loops. The recordings were edited down during a particularly debilitating bout of flu, where unusual thought processes and fever-altered mental states found their way into the final mixes!

Yesa
The final album of recordings of 2021 from Conny Plankton is an eclectic mix of modular electronics, atonal soundscapes, and explorations in hypnagogic trance: A bit of everything really, using a whole range of different hardware, software, synths, modular devices – just about anything that came to hand.

Aebbe
Aebbe is a new series of recordings from Conny Plankton. The sources of these recordings were made during a recent vacation to a remote lighthouse cottage near St Abbs on the Scottish Borders: Most of the recordings were originated on Ipad software with further mixing and additional hardware and software worked into the mixes upon return to the home studio. The isolation and remoteness of location found its way into the recordings, as did the additional challenges of developing new approaches with older IOS based software on the Ipad.

Ajeeb
October 2021 sees a new series of recordings from Conny Plankton, bringing the Hive VST synth back to the fore - either as its own stand-alone sequences and astral soundscapes; working alongside new use of other VST plugins - such as Lector by Waldorf - a vocal processing app, that allowed use of microphone based explorations from Saxophones, Shenhais, Rainsticks, and African Shakers; or as additional pads and textures woven into sessions with the Nifty Eurorack and MC505 Groovebox.

Communitas
Communitas
Communitas is an epic Triple Compilation CD featuring a whole spectrum of luminaries from the Musical Underground. It is produced by my old chum, Mick Magic on his own Music and Elsewhere label. As well as featuring Mick's own Experimental Electro Project, Magic Bullet (in collaboration with his Alter Ego, Skit), there are over 25 Artists involved, spanning three full-length CDs. Each CD is released in three separate volumes, with Volume I and Volume II now available.
Direct Links to each volume of the Compilation are at:
Conny Plankton is very much involved with this epic event, contributing the Track, Asparagi to Volume III, and producing the portrait illustrations for the contributing artists.

Vox Humana
Vox Humana is a series of new recordings by Conny Plankton, based around the concept of using the human voice as a key instrument: However, not a voice as straightforward vocalisation, or fed through the formulaic filters of vocoders - more an experimental approach with banks of modulation, filters and in sync with other instruments and devices. Deeply and Creatively Weird
August 2021 sees a new album's worth of releases from Conny Plankton. A common theme here is continuing explorations with using the Waldorf Nave VST Synth - now synced up to different instruments and exploring a series of alternative approaches - everything used this time round from Bassline Synths, to Waldorf's own Desktop Synth, Rocket, as well as other synths such as Behringer's Crave and Neutron. It's all here folks!
