Vox Humana is a series of new recordings by Conny Plankton, based around the concept of using the human voice as a key instrument: However, not a voice as straightforward vocalisation, or fed through the formulaic filters of vocoders - more an experimental approach with banks of modulation, filters and in sync with other instruments and devices. Deeply and Creatively Weird
August 2021 sees a new album's worth of releases from Conny Plankton. A common theme here is continuing explorations with using the Waldorf Nave VST Synth - now synced up to different instruments and exploring a series of alternative approaches - everything used this time round from Bassline Synths, to Waldorf's own Desktop Synth, Rocket, as well as other synths such as Behringer's Crave and Neutron. It's all here folks!

Polestar
A new album of releases from Conny Plankton sees a moving away from the themes of working with Eurorack and bringing a new VST into centre stage - namely, Nave, the Wavetable Synth from Waldorf, which allows lots of new approaches and some incredible sounds along the way. Lots of different instruments, devices and samples joined the party during this series of recordings - including the evolving Eurorack system of course!

The Four Seasonings
It has been a long while since there was any Conny Plankton activity on the Mixcloud front. So now, to rectumfy the situation, here are new series of long Mixcloud mixes, all based on original work:
The Four Seasonings are a new series of long mixes by Conny Plankton, as published on the Mixcloud site. The four seasonings in this case being salt, mustard, vinegar and pepper.
Actually, none of the mixes have anything to do with seasoning at all, although there was a lot of Pepper in the very first mix:
Condiment
A long drone based mix, based around treated samples of various zippy pop nuggets as produced by the Four Kings of Emi themselves. Melodic yet atonal, this mix pushes the possibilities of what can be done with a samples and sounds to take you into new and uncharted territories.
Four Kings
Another take on samples from the Four Kings of Emi - this time rearranged as an intense acid fried mix. Guest appearances from Lord Frankie Howerd and samples from his 1965 advert for the Four Kings series of ice creams. Yes, well...
WonkaMix
Lost Voyage
Conny Plankton paying respect to a series of TV classics by Irwin Allen, with episodes from Lost in Space and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea remixed into something altogether damaging and extreme.

Wasp is the Word
June 2021 sees a new series of recordings from Conny Plankton - taking explorations with the Plankton Eurorack and many other devices into new and unexplored territories. Loosely based around the latest addition to the Eurorack - the Doepfer Wasp Filter, the recordings soon evolved into patching in lots of other devices, synths, loops and samples. The journey continues...

Infinite Number
The latest release from Conny Plankton sees a continually evolving exploration of working with a series of hardware and VST synths in and out of sync with a growing Eurorack system. Latest additions to the kit this time round, include the Plaits Macro Oscillator by Mutable Instruments and the Dreadbox Hysteria VCO – but of course everything can be reworked and resampled and re-patched into an infinite number of permutations.

Whurliegirkie
Whurliegirkie is the latest release of recordings from Conny Plankton. The title comes from an obscure Scottish phrase meaning "a Fanciful Tale", which seemed strangely appropriate: The recordings are based around experiments and explorations with an evolving Eurorack System. However, many extra devices, both modular and beyond, were soon fed and sampled into the sessions, resulting in the Whurliegirkie you have now have before you. Leave all your genres, labels and expectations behind and enter the World of the Whurliegirkie!
