A Swarming

Here we got a new series of recordings - loosely based around a common theme of getting to grips with the newest version of the Hive VST synth. Of course, this started out as a series of solo explorations on Hive 2, but a whole bunch of extra synths and other devices soon joined in!

Out Of The Box

This time round, we done got a  new series of recordings - based on the theme of continuing to explore and develop ideas with the MC505 Groovebox, but now working via Midi to bring in a whole series of extra synths, devices and plug ins. Enjoy!

The Box

A new series of recordings from the deranged brain of Conny Plankton - this time celebrating and exploring the arrival of the Roland MC505 Groovebox. A lot of the recordings were made using the Groovebox and nothing else - although various other samples, effects, plug ins and guest devices soon found themselves working their way into these mixes!

Electricity

This time round we got a new series of recordings made with a range of different devices and set ups – largely the Desktop synths Crave and neutron from Behringer, but also the TB3 Bass Line, the Kaossilator Pro Plus, and a range of different plug ins fed through Ableton, such as Hive, Aethereal, Gemini and D16. Onward and Outward...

Communion

...being the third video in this Lockdown theme series by Conny Plankton.

The use of the title Communion can be explained as:

Definition of communion. 1 : an act or instance of sharing.

What we have in this video is a montage of images, largely produced by Conny Plankton with a view choice additions from the innermost recesses of the Plankton Brain. The audio is the track, Not Really, taken from the Conny Plankton album, Crave 2: Life in Lockdown, which can be found over at connyplankton.bandcamp.com

Enjoy!

Return to Eternity

What we got here is a remix of the earlier video project by Conny Plankton, "Into Eternity."

During the editing of Into Eternity, the project presented more than it's fair share of glitches, with numerous crashes, technical problems, and stripping out the PC's memories with trying to use some of the more advanced effects and transitions.

However, some of the footage was able to be used and edited from these glitch mixes, and some glitches and stroboscopic effects were even deliberately left in for this new mix. And of course, since the video footage got a remix makeover treatment, it seemed only right to make a new remix of the original audio track as well. So here you go folks!

Into Eternity

The Conny Plankton response to lockdown is this video based on a selection of videos produced by my wife and myself, mixed and interwoven into a Conny Plankton audio track.

The title of Into Eternity comes from William Blake and Plate 5 of his illustrated book, Jerusalem: Emanation of the Giant Albion:
"I rest not from my great task
To open the eternal Worlds,
to open the immortal Eyes of Man
Inwards into the Worlds of Thought;
Into Eternity, ever expanding
In the Bosom of God,
The Human Imagination."

Lockdown and the Fear of the Coronavirus Plague Continues. People react in many ways to the new restrictions and repressions. Some in wilful ignorance and disbelief. Some in outright rebellion. Some in their own walls of apathy and despair.

And some, by turning inward: Into Imagination. Into Eternity.
